- 3 lbs. La Cense Country Style Ribs
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 cup cider or red wine vinegar
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup liquid smoke
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 quart water
Combine dry seasonings and rub over ribs. Place in container or plastic bag and marinate overnight. Prepare sauce by mixing all remaining ingredients in a large sauce pan. Bring the sauce to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for seven minutes. Bring charcoal to high temperature, using well-soaked hickory chops. Grill the ribs, basting frequently with sauce until they reach your desire level of doneness.
