Easy Grilled Hanger Steaks

Easy Grilled Hanger Steaks

  • 2 1/2 cups balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/3 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Extra salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 La Cense Hanger Steaks

Combine two cups of balsamic vinegar with Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and salt. Mix well until sugar dissolves. Place hanger steaks in a resealable plastic bag. Pour marinade over steaks, seal the bag and turn occasionally to coat. Marinate our hanger steaks for only 2 to 3 hours because our beef is grass-fed and has less fat than grain-fed beef, which means that it tends to pick up flavor more quickly. Meanwhile, place the remaining balsamic vinegar in a sauce pan. Bring the vinegar to a boil and reduce by half. Set aside and allow to cool so the vinegar continues to thicken. Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove steaks from marinade and season with salt and pepper. Place on hot grill and grill for about 2 minutes per side, brushing with thickened balsamic vinegar regularly. Grill only until done, then immediately serve.
