William Kriegel, Founder of La Cense Beef

Throughout his career William Kriegel has won recognition for his entrepreneurial acumen but it is his perpetual passion and knowledge for ranching that has led him to where he is today. A native Frenchman, Kriegel moved to the United States with his family in 1984 to pursue his ultimate American dream of owning and running his own ranch. With dedication to his dream and vision of value and achievement, William bought an 88,000-acre ranch in Dillon, Montana and converted it into a natural, grass fed and grass finished Black Angus retail beef operation.

Kriegel developed La Cense Beef as an exclusive, direct-to-consumer beef operation that raises and sells all-natural, pure 100% grass fed beef. He prides himself on being a leader in the "ranch to consumer movement" and the natural ranching practices used at La Cense. Educating the consumer on the importance of choosing grass fed over grain fed beef has become vital to Kriegel, as the positive benefits for the consumer (low in fat, calories, high in antioxidants, Omega-3 Fatty acids and more), the animals (humane conditions and low stress lives) and the planet (less fossil fuels and pollutants used) are too much to ignore.
